  1. D1: China - Hell Bourg

Arrive at St. Denis Airport on Reunion Island and take a deep breath of sea air from the small island in the southwest Indian Ocean. After a 1-hour drive up the hill, you will find yourself in the Salazi Valley and its lush vegetation. At 930 meters above sea level, the 19th century mansion "Hell Bourg", the most beautiful village in France, shows us its Creole style and the architecture of the past built for the spa. We will spend our first night here, with the Creoles graciously tending their pastoral time among the green hills and white clouds.

    Meal : Supper

  2. D2: Hell Bourg - La Nouvelle

After breakfast, we drive from the town of Hel-Bourg (1 hour and 15 minutes) to the Col des Boeufs Pass - where we start our hike today at the critical point of the Cirque de Salazi and Marfat. Among the three famous cirque in Reunion, the only one that cannot be driven to traffic is quiet, mysterious and wild, and only devout walkers can catch a glimpse of her beauty, as if she had all the mountains to herself. The babies looked up between hikes, the towering peaks, jaggy cliffs, hovering kites and swirling clouds, as if they were walking in the fantasy forest, the green trees, endless, beautiful, just like the hero in the story book, towards the bottom of the basin village La Nouvelle. It is a place with no cars, no towns, no noisy villages, not even street lights. In a world without the Internet, enjoy the pure togetherness of the whole family.

A hike to our alpine Lodge is the free rest room. Sitting at the wooden table, the energetic child will happily tell us what he discovered today! There was a traditional alpine dinner at around 6:30, and we secretly prepared a local mystery drink for the parents behind the backs of the little ones!

If we are hungry, we will stop for a snack, and every piece of Mafat will be deeply embedded in the children's hearts. We'll probably have lunch in Hell-Bourg and then check into the hotel. In the afternoon, we explore the waterfall kingdom of Salazi in a game way, the rare flowers and grasses everywhere, and visit the Foliohouse, a must-visit historic site in the town of HellBourg, where the owner is happy to tell stories to the children! Dinner is served in the hotel tonight.

  4. D4: Hell Bourg - La Plaine des Palmistes

People who have seen many promotional videos of Reunion, no doubt do not look forward to the numerous waterfalls and forest water systems of Reunion. Today, we are close to exploring the forest water system of Reunion, hiking up the river and encountering thousands of waterfalls. The 2.5 hour hike was no less, and we either climbed on the rocks beside the stream or splashed in the stream. Transfer 50 minutes to La Plaine des Palmistes. After a simple lunch break, we went to the Yutube celebrity Pan Pomegranate Reunion Fruit House with a half-hour documentary. Our hosts, Georges Marie Rose, invite us to visit the Georges Orchard and gather the sweet, juicy and silvery guava. The owner helps the children to understand the growing environment and picking skills of the fruit on the spot. This kind of unique encounter and communication is far from being provided by book knowledge and illustrations. After that, we went to Sylvie's house to learn authentic Creole cooking with freshly picked guava as raw materials, and experience the clash of Chinese and Western taste buds together! We're spending the night at the Pommeau farm.

  5. D5: La Plaine des Palmistes

Today is the day of the moonwalk, looking for the Fournais volcano. Along the way, you can see the magnificent coastline, mountains, plains, pastures, forests, wastelands and volcanic areas, etc., and finally reach the volcanic surface and see the results of years of volcanic activity - lava, rock... The transition between forest and lava, the broad picture of a disaster movie, makes our children feel a sense of awe for nature.

Then hike to Piton Bert (Bory) and Commerson, where we can admire a huge furnace formed by a volcanic eruption long ago, 200 meters in diameter and 235 meters deep, the traces of lava flows are clearly visible, and the smoke and cloud sea from the volcano are coiled around the crater side, which is extremely spectacular. As one of the most active volcanoes in the world, we're safe to watch, and if we're lucky, we can see the hell on earth as the lava rushes out of the crater. We will find large stone formations of cooled lava, with large shrubs growing. These shrubs have grown doggedly from the crevices of the Stonehenge into green vegetation half a metre high, loosely covering the eight-kilometer-long caldera. Such harsh conditions, such a cold place, the tree of life can take root, let people have to sincerely admire!

Lunch served at QG restaurant is barbecued with special Reunion wood, which is said to have a special flavor!

In the afternoon we visit the Maison du Volcan, the world's first volcano Museum. Wonderful interactive 4D models, videos, screening halls and other explanations, volcano exhibitions from around the world come together to popularize the knowledge of the volcanic world and earth science for parents and children. After observing the volcano in the field, the children's visit to the museum is definitely not a casual trip. Return to the hotel for a meal break and if you are not tired, you can go to the hotel pool to play!

  6. D6: La Plaine des Palmistes - St Pierre

We turned from Palmistes Plain to Laves Road. Hundreds of years of volcanic eruptions have produced fertile soil suitable for sugarcane growth. On the way, we will pass the sugarcane fields and stay for 30 minutes while the leader cuts the sugarcane for us to taste. We hiked the lava flow for about an hour, and the children were curious about having to touch large blocks of solidified black lava with their hands. The storybook representation was screaming! If we're fast, we can head to the nearby lava cliffs, facing the sea and sky, and enjoy a picnic.

In the afternoon, Adventure to the Center of the Earth, lava tubes are tubes that naturally form inside lava flows. We put on hard hats, headlamps, gloves and knee pads to enter the inner world of the volcano, and see all kinds of strange shaped lava stones formed after the cooling of the magma, which makes us marvel at the uncanny workmanship of nature. Moving forward in the dark, exploring a mysterious and powerful underground world, witnessing the wonder of nature and the greatness of the Creator at your own pace, this is a journey to the center of the Earth for parents and children.
