  1. D1: China - Mandalay

    Activities: Arrival in Mandalay, free movement

    Day 1: Arrival at Mandalay International Airport. A tour leader will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.

    Located on the banks of the Irrawaddy River, Mandalay is Myanmar's second largest city with a total of about 6 million inhabitants. It was the capital of the Khon Bang Dynasty (1860-1885) and the last imperial capital of Burma. Mandalay was famous for its jade wares and was also known as the "City of Jewels" at that time. Today, Mandalay City is the administrative capital of Mandalay Region.

  2. D2: Mandalay - AVA - Mingun - Ubuntu Bridge

    Activities: Visit the ancient city of Awa, visit the ruins of the Mandalay Palace, the ancient city of Mingong, walk on the Uben Bridge

    In the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel. Your tour leader will be waiting for you at the front desk and will take you on an air-conditioned bus ride.

    The first stop is the ancient city of Awa, steeped in ancient civilization. Take a ride in an antique horse-drawn carriage and explore the city that has weathered the ages. The ruins of the Mandalay Palace, the Mandalay Watchtower, the Bagaya teak monastery made of teak, and the Maha Aung Mye Bonzon brick and stucco, all made of bricks and mortar monastery) of... Feast your eyes on historic sites, monasteries and pagodas.

    At noon, after dining at a local restaurant, continue to the Irrawaddy River pier and board a traditional Burmese boat to the ancient city of Myingong. Myingong was once a royal city in the Mandalay region. Arrive at Mingun Pagoda and visit Mingun Pagoda. The stupa was built by King Burdupaya for his queen in the early 19th century. The Mingong Stupa would have been the largest brick stupa in the world, but it was halted in 1819 due to the death of the king who built it, and later destroyed by an earthquake in 1839, but the base alone is so impressive that you can't help but wonder what it would have been like if it had been built. Although it is possible to climb the tower, it can only climb halfway, and the section to the top is blocked for safety reasons. After visiting the Mingong Stupa, you arrive at the next attraction - Mingun Bell. With a maximum diameter of nearly 5 meters, a height of about 4 meters and a weight of more than 90 tons, it is the second largest bell in the world after the cathedral bell of Nizhny Novgorod in Moscow. Dusk is a great time to visit Myingong, and the nearby white Khin Bime Stupa looks particularly beautiful against the setting sun.

    Head to the ancient city of Amarapura and stroll across the Uben Bridge, known as the "Bridge of Love". The Uben Bridge is made entirely of riveted precious teak wood and is the oldest and longest teak structural bridge in the world. Enjoy the view from the bridge as the sun sets.

    After the tour, return to Mandalay to rest at the hotel.

  3. D3: Bagan

    Activity: Traditional lacquerware workshop

    In the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel. Your tour leader will be waiting for you at the front desk and will guide you by bus.

    After dinner, we will head to a traditional lacquer workshop in Myanmar. You will have the opportunity to see local artisans making some of Myanmar's most famous crafts up close and learn more about this ancient craft that has been passed down from generation to generation. After this, the children will have the opportunity to paint their own lacquerware coasters. The workshop's teachers help the children blend their creativity with this traditional Burmese craft. As lacquerware takes some time to dry, you will need to wait until evening before taking it away. (The number of people drawing coasters should be limited to 15. If there are more than 15 participants, we will only visit, not participate in the drawing.)

  4. D4: Bagan - Inle lake

    Activities: Visit various pagodas

    Optional: A hot air balloon ride overlooking Bagan. Take a hot air balloon ride with family and friends and enjoy the magnificent views of Myanmar's ancient city from above. Project period: October 20 to March 31.

    Today, you will see a variety of stupas. We will first visit the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda and learn about Bagan's deep history. Then we will visit the Htilominlo Temple - one of the largest temples in Bagan, famous for its stucco reliefs and frescoes. We will also visit Thatbyinnyu Temple, the tallest stupa in Bagan, and Ananda temple, the most complete and beautiful Buddhist temple in Bagan. The stupa at the center of Ananda Temple is known as the first stupa in Bagan, with a golden Buddha on both the north and south sides. It is said that when seen from a distance, the two giant Buddhas smile very kindly, but when you walk to their feet and look up, the Fa looks very solemn, and people can not help but worship.

    Lunch at a local restaurant. After dinner, we will drive back to Bagan. In Bagan, you will ride in an antique horse-drawn carriage and walk around historic pagodas. At sunset, you can also climb the mountain to look at the touching sunset scene.

  5. D5: Inle lake

    Activities: Visit the Inle Lake, visit the Pagoda of Pareto, the Cat Jumping Temple, the InDein Monastery

    In the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel. Your tour leader will meet you at the front desk and take you by bus to Nyaung U airport in Bagan. Upon arrival at the airport, fly to Heihe Airport (Heho). After arriving at Heihe Airport, take a bus to Nyaungshwe and transfer to a speedboat to reach your hotel in the heart of Inle Lake.

    Throughout the day, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Inle Lake in a canoe. You will have the opportunity to explore water villages built on stilts, as well as the amazing Inle Lake floating island, and learn about the unique lifestyle of the Inle people living in the water country.

    Next, we will take a boat to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest place in Inle Lake. You will have the opportunity to admire the five golden Buddhas inside the stupa. Due to the gold leaf pasted on the Buddha by pious people, the Buddha statue has become confused with the five features and limbs, presenting a strange posture. Continue by boat to Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery - also known as the "Cat Jumping Temple" because of the group of kittens that jump in circles.

    Lunch at a local restaurant. After the meal, you can visit the weaving village in Inpawkhone, as well as the local cigar factory, to explore the handmade cigars that are unique to Myanmar.

    After that, take a canoe and sail along a small canal to the small town of Pa-oh In the village of In Dein. After that, walk for 30-40 minutes through the town and surrounding dense forests and climb the narrow walkway to admire the strange ancient site of Alaung Sitthou, which looks like a lost city, and the pagoda forest covered with thick green plants. Ascend to the InDein Monastery, you can overlook the panoramic view of Inle Lake.

  6. D6: Inle lake - Yangon

    Activities: Pick ingredients at local markets, cooking classes, visit Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon

    In the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel. Your leader will be waiting for you at the front desk and will lead you on a canoe ride to start the day.

    Getting away from the crowds and visiting the water homes of the Inle people, who love to cook, is an essential part of a trip to Inle Lake.

    Hop on a speedboat and head with the chef to the local market to pick up ingredients. The chef will give you a detailed introduction to the special ingredients of Inle Lake and their different flavors. After that, you will continue along the narrow boat path to the water village. After arriving at the local home, take a break and your cooking lessons can begin. The chef will first introduce the different ingredients and show you how to cook them. After this, you will have the opportunity to cook 8-10 local dishes. After cooking, please enjoy!

    After the meal, we will return to the dock by speedboat and drive to Heihe Airport for a flight to Yangon (1 hour ferry time, 1 hour flight time). After arriving in Yangon, we drove to the ShweDagonPagoda.

    You will visit the Shwedagon Pagoda, a symbol of Myanmar. Carrying the heart of piety along the golden pagoda slowly upward, listening to the bells on the tower jingle, watching the spire in the sunset glow... The whole golden tower, as if rising from the horizon of the golden myth.

    After the tour, return to the hotel to rest.

  7. D7: Yangon; Departure or Extension Program

    Activities: Ride the circular train, tricycle, visit the market

    In the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel. Your tour leader will be waiting for you at the front desk and will take you on a canoe ride to start the day. Today, you will get to know the real Yangon and enjoy excursions through the city and suburbs.

    First, take a ride on Myanmar's famous circular train, where you can see locals hurrying to work and street vendors laying out their fresh fruits and vegetables. After you get off the bus, you will take a tricycle (the most famous form of transport in Myanmar) through the local neighborhoods and visit the nearby market, which offers fresh bananas and coconuts, as well as other vegetables and fruits.

    Then you'll take a break in a real local setting, step into a teahouse, sip a cup of sweet tea or coffee, and taste a variety of traditional Burmese snacks.

    After the meal, you will have the opportunity to explore the old Victorian buildings built by the British colonists in the 19th century, such as the post office and hotel, to experience the grandeur and beauty of Yangon's colonial architecture. Stroll down the street and discover a variety of local street food.

    At the end of your tour, you will head to Yangon International Airport.c
