Your journey begins in Ushuaia, Argentina. Aboard the Ocean Nova cruise ship, sail along the Beagle Channel to Puerto Williams, Chile, the southernmost town in the world. Explore all the interesting things here, and then we'll set sail for the South Pole.

Note: Due to port operations, boarding time in Ushuaia is strictly limited to 15:00-16:00. After 16:00, the cabin will be closed. Please arrive on time, carry your passport and allow enough time for clearance.

For two days we will sail towards Antarctica, passing the famous Drake Passage named after Sir Francis Drake, a great English explorer of the 16th century. As we sail to the South Shetland Islands, we will attend a very fascinating lecture and presentation. With a professional guide, watch wildlife from the glass-enclosed lounge or from the outside deck. You may spot spectacular seabirds, such as albatrosses and petrels, as well as different species of whales that are making their way south to Antarctica. When we cross the Antarctic radiation belt, the environment around us will change dramatically. Get your camera ready, this will be your first glimpse of the iceberg and the dream of the Antarctic continent.
