With sunrise as our curtain and waves as our anthem, we hike up Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak), a UNESCO-listed volcanic crater rising dramatically from the azure sea—Jeju’s gift to the world, a natural epic. Standing at the crater’s edge, we tread upon the memories of dormant lava. Then, we walk to the "Olle Trail No. 1" Santiago Marker, where Jeju’s coastal path symbolically meets Spain’s Camino de Santiago. In the name of sisterhood, we forge a spiritual bond that transcends mountains and seas.

By boat, we journey to Udo (Cow Island), a timeless sanctuary of the haenyeo—Jeju’s legendary women divers. Beyond the tourist lens, we step into their humble resting huts and listen as they share their creed: "A lifetime devoted to one calling." How they brave crashing waves, hold their breath in freezing waters, and in a male-dominated era, earned their families’ dignity. Perhaps what they teach us is not to conquer the ocean, but to coexist with all living things.

Today promises to be a challenge for everyone, as well as an exhilarating adventure. Together with our outdoor guide, we will embark on a magnificent journey to climb the highest peak of Jeju Island—Hallasan. Standing at 1,947 meters above sea level, Hallasan is South Korea's tallest mountain. This majestic volcanic mountain, formed by ancient eruptions, is awe-inspiring not only for its height but also for its remarkable volcanic landscape.

Upon reaching the summit, you will be greeted by Baengnokdam, a crater lake nestled at the top of the mountain. Though small in size, it symbolizes the soul of Hallasan. Along the way, the landscape is dotted with lava fields, basalt, and uniquely shaped volcanic rocks, all of which seem to tell the story of the Earth's power and history. Today, we will measure this magnificent land with our footsteps and conquer this great mountain with our perseverance. Each step upward will be a personal challenge, and each view will be a tribute to nature. Let us embrace this test and write our own story of triumph with determination and courage!
